This talk explores why Jews of the Diaspora should learn Hebrew. It examines effective approaches to teaching and learning from the perspective of cognitive science, and argues that it is a reasonable goal for an adult learner to understand 100 carefully chosen Hebrew sentences. The talk also considers which sentences are the most valuable to learn, and how Hebrew vocabulary can be reinforced through Israeli music and culture.

This session will be available in-person or on Zoom.
